Roman chamomile (Anthemis nobilis) is plant known as English chamomile. Essential oil of Roman Chamomile is obtained by steam distillation of flowers and stems. It has very pleasant fruity aroma. The main components of the oil include Isobutyl and isoamyl angelate, methacrylate and isobutyrate.

The Egyptians considered Roman chamomile as herb dedicated to the sun and moon. Roman soldiers used chamomile to give them courage and mental clarity for battles. Roman chamomile oil has calming effect on both physical and emotional conditions. Aromatherapy recognizes Roman Chamomile Oil as helps in many skin conditions.
